m365search
One search box for your entire Microsoft 365 world. m365-search builds a local full-text index of your mail, Teams chats, OneDrive and SharePoint files — including the content of documents — so finding that one sentence takes milliseconds instead of clicking through five different M365 search boxes that don't talk to each other.
- Everything in one place
- Mail, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint team sites searched together, with filters for source, file type, person and date range
- Searches inside documents
- Extracts and indexes content of docx, PDF, xlsx, pptx, msg and more, not just filenames
- Genuinely fast
- Millisecond results even on 100,000+ indexed documents; smart dual-engine matching also finds related terms (search "tokenization", also hit "tokens")
- Native Windows app
- Real app window, one-click sign-in with your work account via Windows single sign-on. No browser tab, no console, no setup
- Private by design
- Read-only permissions, the index lives only on your own machine, and your password goes to Microsoft only, never to this app
- Set and forget
- First index runs in the background; re-runs are incremental and skip unchanged files
